Ethernet over Copper Broadband Service

ACD Ethernet service provides much faster upload and download speeds than traditional DSL or single and multiple T1 lines. It provides DS3 speeds at a fraction of the cost. This service utilizes redundant copper loops from our central offices. Each DSL loop used to provide service can provide up to 5.76mb/s upload, and 5.76mb/s download, or three times the speed of a T1 line. ACD will provide two, three, or four or more loops to your business to enable Ethernet connectivity, depending on the speed, and redundancy options you select. Bundling ACD.net's Ethernet service with our phone service increases your bandwidth while decreasing your costs. With a 10mb/s Ethernet connection you could run over 200 simultaneous telephone calls. Each Ethernet modem and customer connection is monitored by ACD. Hence, we know when a connection is lost, or there are line errors. Our network operations center is proactively notified if your connection should ever fail. This service is based upon Ethernet in the First Mile technology, and with availability equal to our DSL coverage areas. However, the service is much more powerful and redundant than typical DSL service. The use of redundant loops dramatically increases reliability and speed. When there are repairs, the individual circuits are added, or subtracted from the connection, and the speed of the connection is simply recalculated to adjust to the new number of loops. Therefore, upgrades, changes, and/or problems with a particular loop are far less likely to disrupt your connection. Repairs to your service can also be done during operating hours with minimal or no disruption to your business.
