Mayor Bernero to Give State of the City Address at Local Tech Center

LANSING— Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero is set to give the annual State of the City Address from ACD.net’s new headquarters, the Metro Internet Exchange (MIX) building.

"We are a cutting edge company helping Lansing create a new business sector," says Kevin Schoen, ACD’s president. "The mayor’s decision to have this event at our headquarters displays the importance of the tech industry to the local economy."

The MIX is home to ACD’s newly constructed data center, which is one of the largest in the state. Bernero also spoke at the MIX building’s grand opening last October.

“We’re absolutely thrilled Mayor Bernero chose this location for this important occasion,” says Kevin Schoen, president of ACD. “It’s fitting that the high-tech location will also be a high-tech event by being web-streamed live.”
